ThinkDigit Weekly Poll Results (Galaxy S III)

Last week, we asked you just what you thought of Samsung’s new flagship, the Galaxy S III, scheduled to hit European shelves at the end of this month. Over 700 of you responded, and once again, we thank you for your enthusiastic response!

The largest number of respondents (37%) voted for “It’s better than I expected,” indicating that most of our readers probably feel the Samsung Galaxy S III would qualify as a super-phone in the era where quad-core processors and massive displays have almost become the prerequisites for a top-end smartphone.

You can check out our full coverage of the Samsung Galaxy S III here, to see just how well it compares against its rivals (like the HTC One X – read our review)  in terms of benchmarks, and features.

29.5% percent of the respondents (211 readers) chose “It’s a disappointment,” while 17.5% of the respondents (125 readers) chose “I really don’t care about the Galaxy S III,” and the remaining 15.6% of the respondents (112 readers) chose “iPhone 4S is better than the Galaxy S III.” Put together, that can translate to 45.1% negative votes, with readers either disappointed with the S III, or finding the much older iPhone 4S a better device overall. If you include indifferent readers, then we have 62.6% negative votes.
