The green line issue on your Android smartphone can be caused by a buggy system. However, you can just check and install a pending software update to fix the bug. Companies usually send bug fix updates to directly address display glitches introduced by an earlier update. In case you're running beta software on your device and the green line appears on your device, then we recommend you download a stable version of the software and check if it still persists, as beta software is more prone to glitches.

In case the problem arises after an update, reverting to the old version may be considered, as the code creating the glitch will no longer be on your phone. However, there is one thing that must be remembered, as reverting to the old version is not straightforward in Android. Rather, you need to flash your device with an old software version, and it needs high technical expertise.

Fix 4: Factory reset to fix green line issue

1. Press the Undo button shown below the shutter button right after you share an Instants.

Note: It appears there for a short time, and you need to be quick on your hands to use it.

2. You can also open the archive section using the four-box icon inside the Instants camera screen and delete the Instant from the archive before the receiver opens it.

Note: If the photo has already been viewed, it may not be possible to remove it completely.

The new QR code feature in Quick Share is specifically designed as a kind of bridge for Android-to-iPhone transfers. When you share a file through Quick Share on Android, the app now gives you the option to generate a QR code. Over on the iPhone, users can scan this code directly on the native Camera app. Once scanned, the file gets transferred to the recipient. Google has also confirmed that all files shared this way are end-to-end encrypted. The shared link remains active for up to 24 hours, after which it expires automatically.

How to use the feature?

Once the feature is available on your Android device, check out the steps mentioned below to check how you can use it to send a file to an iPhone:

• First up, open the file you want to share on your Android phone.
• Now, tap the Share button and look out for Quick Share in the sharing options.

• A link will appear on the iPhone screen, and the recipient will just need to tap on it.

How to turn off Instagram Instants

If you do not want Instants appearing in your inbox, follow these steps on Android or iPhone:

1. Open the Instagram app on your device.

2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner of the screen and press the three-line menu in the top-right corner.

3. Go to Content Preferences under the 'What you see' section.

4. Enable the switch next to Hide Instants in inbox. Once you've enabled the setting, Instants will no longer appear in your DM inbox.

Users can also temporarily hide Instants by pressing and holding the Instants section in the inbox and swiping right. Swiping left brings it back again.

Our first step involves creating the base image, as that would be used to create the video going forward. Creating the image is pretty simple; all you need to do is take a picture of yourself and upload it onto either ChatGPT or Google Gemini, along with a prompt. 

Personally, I use ChatGPT for creating images, as I’ve found it to be better than Gemini in comparison. It is recommended to use a good portrait picture for the best results. As for the prompt, simply copy and paste the one mentioned below:

Image prompt: 

“Reference image person caught mid-celebration in a packed IPL stadium crowd — face structure fully preserved, natural euphoric expression, mouth open in a victory shout, one fist punched in the air. Step 2: Importing the generated image onto Google’s Flow 

Once the image has been created, you can either edit or download it locally by clicking on the image. Next up, to create the video, you’d need to use Google’s latest image and video generator called Flow. Simply open the Flow website on either your phone or desktop. Once there, you should see the ‘Start’ and ‘End’ templates. Click on them, and upload the image that you just generated.

Step 3: Creating video using Flow

Once the image has been imported onto Google Flow, all you need to do is use the correct prompt and make sure the settings are right. As for the settings, make sure you’ve selected videos, and choose the aspect ratio as you want it. For the prompt, you can find it mentioned below:

Video prompt:

Method 1: Check IMEI number

The simplest way to confirm whether your device is genuine or not is to verify the IMEI number of the device against the official website of the brand. Every brand has an exclusive webpage where you can enter the IMEI number of your device to obtain details related to the device.

The IMEI number is a unique identifier of the device. If you wish to know the IMEI number of your smartphone within a short span of time, all you have to do is launch the Phone app from your device and dial *#06#.

Check if the number displayed on your device screen is similar to the one printed on the retail box of your device. Other than that, you should also check the invoice of the device you received and ensure that the IMEI number mentioned there matches the one on your device screen and retail box.

Users can also verify the IMEI number through the government’s CEIR portal or Know Your Mobile app to learn everything about their smartphone. If the IMEI number is missing or different, then there is a high chance that the smartphone may not be genuine.

Once there, head on over to the images tab, which should be located on the left side. Now, click on the images icon in the chat window, which would then allow you to select images from your local machine. Alternatively, you can also copy and paste the images into the chat window for an even smoother process.

Step 3: Entering the prompt

Now that the image has been selected and uploaded to ChatGPT, it’s just a matter of prompting, and that’s very easy. While there are various options for pixel art-style images, using the right prompt is essential for turning out the images in the best quality. In case you’re not satisfied with the results and are willing to make changes to the images, doing so is pretty simple. Just click on the generated image and choose the edit option. Now, based on what you want to change, simply prompt the same to the chatbot and click on enter. ChatGPT would consider all the edits and give out the final result. Once you’re done with selecting the picture, the next step would be to upload it to ChatGPT. Doing that is pretty simple and does not require much effort. Simply open the ChatGPT app/website on either your mobile device or desktop.

After you’re there, head on over to the images tab to create the studio-like image. In there, you should see the chat window; click on the ‘Add Photos’ icon to select pictures from your local machine. Alternatively, you can also copy and paste the images into the chat window.

Step 4: Waiting for the magic to happen

Once the prompt for the image has been entered, you can click on the Enter key. Now comes the fun part of waiting! As the famous quote says, patience pays. While ChatGPT analyses the reference image and generates the output, you should wait for the magic to happen.

Once ChatGPT is done with the image, the output should be right in front of you. You can now download and use this image by clicking on the 'share image' option and then pressing 'download'. In case you aren’t satisfied with the result, you always have the option to modify/edit it in any way you want. Simply click on the edit icon and give out further details required for the edit.

In order to do that, you need to go to the end of the response provided by Gemini > press the three dots icon > select Double-check response. After this, Gemini will again check the response and highlight different parts of it with different colours. Here is what it means:

• Green Highlight: Google Search found similar content. Click the text to view the source.
• Orange Highlight: Google Search found content that is different or could not find a match. This may require further checking.
• No Highlight: There was not enough information to evaluate the statement.

1. Launch a web browser and head to your LPG provider's website.

2. Log in using your credentials.

3. Find the section called 'Customer Console' or 'Services'.

4. Choose the option to close or surrender your gas connection.

5. Fill out the form and tell them why you want to close it.

6. Upload copies of your Subscription Voucher (SV) and ID proof.

7. Submit the form to get a request number.

8. Either book a pickup for the cylinder and regulator or visit the gas agency with your request number.

9. Give back the cylinder and regulator to the delivery person or office staff.

10. After the process is complete, download the Termination Voucher (TV) from the website.

11. Check your bank account for the refund of your security deposit.

Alternatively, you can also visit mypngd.in > enter your registered mobile number or your 17-digit LPG ID > verify your identity using OTP > select the Surrender Connection > confirm your details and submit the formal surrender request.

Now, the portal will automatically notify your LPG distributor about your surrender request. The distributor will contact you to schedule a doorstep pickup of the cylinder and pressure regulator. Hand over the equipment to the representative and collect the acknowledgement.

Following the handover the distributor will process your security deposit refund electronically to your linked bank account. Download your digital Termination Voucher (TV) directly from the portal for your records.

Step-by-step guide for generating Linkedin profile pic

Step 1: Pick your face shot

Pick a clear photo of yourself facing the camera directly. Don’t have any sunglasses or filters. Remember, the cleaner your source image, the more accurate the AI's output will be. Natural light works the best because harsh overhead lighting or flash can confuse the model's skin-tone correction. I am using this image of Virat Kohli as an example.

Step 2: Upload it to ChatGPT or Gemini

Open ChatGPT or Gemini, start a new chat and select the Images or create image option and attach your photo.

Step 3: Prompt for generating LinkedIn profile pic 

Both platforms use the same base prompt. Copy it, then tweak the details – clothing colour, background tone, crop ratio – to suit your use case:

ChatGPT or Gemini: Which generates better LinkedIn pic?

We ran the same prompt through both platforms on the same source photo of Virat Kohli – you can see the results attached. I felt ChatGPT preserved grooming details better and held the beard structure and hair texture closer to the original. Gemini gave a cleaner, softened look that some may prefer. (Note: Gemini does add a watermark to the bottom right of the image.)
