How to send and save your Rakhi stickers on WhatsApp (Android and iOS)

If you wish to add the sticker to your WhatsApp, all you have to do is open the Google Photos app and upload the image that contains the stickers. Now comes the main part. Once you connect Gmail, you can ask Claude to respond to an existing conversation using a natural-language prompt.

3. Tell it what you want the response to say.

4. Claude will then prepare the response based on the email context

5. Review that draft once the chatbot asks for approval

6. Approve the action to send the email through Gmail.

Can Claude send emails without approval?

The answer to this question is yes but only if approval is enabled by default. Claude normally asks you to confirm before sending, replying to forwarding messages.

Whether you can disable this confirmation will actually depend on your account and plan. If you have the Team and Enterprise accounts, admin can determine whether members are allowed to perform these actions without confirmation.

And most importantly, now that Claude can communicate externally on your behalf, I would advise you to keep approval enabled if you want to review the AI generated emails before they are sent.

I have seen these pictures a million times before – Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose examining his line-up of women soldiers from the Rani of Jhansi Regiment. Black-flag demonstrations in 1928, with "Simon Go Back" written on a banner above them. These images have been reproduced in our textbooks a thousand times and shown in every Independence Day slide show since we can remember, so much so that these historical events have lost their sense of reality and turned into mere symbols. For this year's Independence Day, I have tried my hand at bringing some colour into these classic photographs using AI. Here is how I did it and the things to look out for while trying it yourself.

Step 1: Start with the highest resolution scan you can find

Colourisation amplifies whatever is already in the photograph, so a blurry, low resolution jpeg will come out looking worse, not better. If you're pulling images off the internet, look for archive or museum sources rather than a random social media repost, since those tend to be more heavily compressed.

Step 2: Upload the photo and use this prompt

This is the base prompt I used across all three images:

"Colourise this black and white photograph realistically. Preserve the original composition, facial features, expressions, and details exactly as they are, don't alter or reimagine any part of the image. Add natural, historically accurate colours based on the time period, clothing fabric, skin tones, and setting shown in the photo. Keep the lighting, shadows, and grain and texture of the original photograph intact. Avoid oversaturated or artificial looking colours, aim for a muted, realistic film colour palette consistent with the era. Do not add or remove any people, objects, or background elements from the original image."

Step 3: Add historical context specific to your photo

This is the step people skip, and it's the one that matters most. Generic colourisation prompts tend to default to whatever the model assumes a given decade looked like, which isn't always accurate. Adding specific historical detail pushes the output much closer to reality.

For the photograph of Netaji Bose inspecting the Rani of Jhansi Regiment, I added: "The uniforms are Indian National Army khaki, a muted olive-brown, not bright green. Keep the uniform colour consistent across all soldiers in the frame."

For the 1928 Simon Commission protest photograph, I added: "The flags and banner are black, hand-painted with white lettering reading Simon Go Back. Preserve the legibility of all text in the image."

Step 4: Check the output against the original before you post it

Once the tool generates a result, zoom in and compare it side by side with the original. Two things to look for specifically:

First, skin tones. AI image tools have a tendency to lighten and smooth skin tones during colourisation, which can noticeably alter how a historical figure is depicted. If this happens, regenerate with a stronger instruction to preserve the original tonal range, or manually correct it in an editing tool afterward.

Second, hallucinated detail. Check that no people, objects, or background elements have been added or removed, and that any text in the image, banners, signage, uniform insignia, hasn't been altered or misread. This is more likely on crowd shots and photographs with fine printed or handwritten text.

Step 5: If a detail comes out wrong, don't regenerate from scratch, edit the instruction

If the colour on a specific element is off, a wrong uniform shade, an oversaturated sky, go back into the same conversation and ask the tool to adjust just that detail rather than starting over with a new prompt. This keeps everything else about the image, which the tool likely got right, untouched.

A word on responsibility

Colourising archival photographs isn't just a fun weekend project once actual historical figures and events are involved. Even with a carefully written prompt, the AI is making interpretive choices, a shade of khaki here, a slightly warmer skin tone there, that a viewer might mistake for historical fact rather than an AI's best guess. Treat the output as an artistic interpretation of the photograph, not a restoration, and it's worth saying so wherever you share it. That distinction matters more this Independence Day than it might on any other day of the year.

1. Launch a web browser on your device and head to the official NSDL or UTIITSL portal.

2. Select 'Changes or Correction' in existing PAN data.

3. Fill in your PAN and other details and select the checkbox next to Name.

4. Make sure you correctly spell out your name in the form.

5. Now, upload the necessary supporting proof files.

Women living in Delhi will no longer be able to travel for free in the Delhi Transport Corporation and cluster buses unless they have a Pink Saheli Smart Card. The Delhi government recently announced that they intended to kill the paper-based pink tickets that have been issued since 2019 and shift to the card-based ticket for the women travellers. While visiting you must carry your original Aadhaar card and ensure that the Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active.

Tell your details to the registration agent and complete the identity verification through biometric authentication or an Aadhaar OTP. Once the verification is complete, your Pink Saheli Smart Card will be issued immediately.

Note: The counter only remains open from Monday to Saturday, and the timings are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Privacy has become a major concern in the AI era, especially because some companies use the data of their users to train their models. While sometimes it's with consent, there are times when the company does it through default settings after a new update. However, Google has recently launched a new feature in Search where users can decide whether to save their uploaded photos, files, audio, and videos while utilising search functions. This setting will help develop products such as Google Lens and Search Live. Though, the media may be saved for enhancing Google services, which include AI models and safety systems. If you don't want to contribute to this development, then you can opt out of it using the below-mentioned steps.

Google’s new privacy settings

Google is rolling out two new privacy controls for accounts, notably the Search Services History and Personalized Recommendations. It is a phased rollout, and you may get it eventually if you can't see it currently. Earlier, these options were handled through the Web & App Activity settings, but they will now appear separately under My Google Activity.

The Search Services History setting includes a new option that can save media uploaded through Google Search. According to Google, storing this information can help improve future experiences with Search features such as Google Lens and Search Live.

However, the company’s update also states that saved search uploads may be used to develop and improve Google services and technologies, including AI models and safety features. This means images, videos, audio files, and other uploads could contribute to the improvement of Google’s systems if the setting is enabled.

Google says users who had Web & App Activity and Search Personalization turned off before this update will keep those settings disabled. However, after the change, the controls will work separately. Turning off one setting will no longer automatically change the other, making it important for users to check their preferences.

How to stop Google from saving your search media

If you want Google to save your search uploads, then you can disable it. Just open your Google Account > go to My Google Activity > find the Search Services History settings > uncheck save media. 

Not only that but you can also remove previously saved uploads. To do so, you need to choose the 'View and delete saved history' option from the same page. This allows you to review the stored search activity and delete media you no longer want connected to your account.

Netflix is one of the world's biggest entertainment platforms. It has many movies, TV shows, and original programs. However, its subscription prices have gone up over time, making it harder for many people to afford. That may no longer be the case anymore at least for some first-time Netflix users, as they can access the streaming platform for free. Free Netflix is not something new. If you remember back in 2019-2020, Netflix used to offer up to 30 days of free trials to every new viewer. However, the entertainment platform quietly removed the feature, though it continued to offer similar benefits in certain regions under different schemes. Now, the company is once again testing free Netflix for new users across the globe.

If you've never signed up for Netflix, simply visit the Netflix website or open the app and create a new account > look for the banner offering a free trial and select it > choose the subscription plan you'd like to continue with > pick a payment method, such as a debit card, credit card, or a supported UPI option > once the setup is completed, you can start streaming Netflix immediately without being charged during the trial period.

However, do note that once the free trial period ends, you will be charged for the next month. So if you don't want to continue, then you should discontinue the auto-payment prior to the last date. 

Aside from that, keep in mind that not every user is getting 30 days of free trial, as many users reported that they are only getting up to 7 days or 15 days of free trial. If you're offered a shorter trial, then you can try changing your region using a VPN and check whether a 30-day free trial period is available. However, do note that Netflix's trial availability varies by region and account eligibility, and using a VPN may not work or could conflict with Netflix's terms of service.

What do I feel about the new Muse Image AI?

After testing the tool for a considerable amount of time I feel like the tool lacked multiple sections. First of all, the image created by the tool was not satisfactory, and I had to generate multiple iterations of it just to get a decent-looking image that comes somewhere near my prompt. In comparison, when I gave the same image and the same prompt to ChatGPT it did a fantastic job.

Aside from that, the AI tool lacks the ability to deal with multiple images in a single chat. To test that, I tried giving the tool a second image in the continuation of the chat, but it used the image I uploaded initially, completely ignoring the image that I uploaded next. Even when I tried re-uploading the image, it used the 1st image and created an image that was way out of context.

The Indian government launched the new Aadhar app earlier this year with better privacy features. Setting up the new Aadhaar app is simple all you need to do is follow the steps outlined below:

1. Download the new Aadhaar app on your device using the Play Store or App Store.

Not only that, but OpenAI also officially announced that it is now a conforming member of the C2PA standard, which is used for content tracking and verification. The company is also adding Google DeepMind’s SynthID watermarking system to images made through ChatGPT, Codex, and the OpenAI API. This watermark is invisible to the eye but can still be detected later.

Follow the simple steps below to undo an Instagram Instant shared by accident:

1. Press the Undo button shown below the shutter button right after you share an Instants.

Note: It appears there for a short time, and you need to be quick on your hands to use it.

2. You can also open the archive section using the four-box icon inside the Instants camera screen and delete the Instant from the archive before the receiver opens it.

Note: If the photo has already been viewed, it may not be possible to remove it completely.

How does the feature work?

The new QR code feature in Quick Share is specifically designed as a kind of bridge for Android-to-iPhone transfers. When you share a file through Quick Share on Android, the app now gives you the option to generate a QR code. Over on the iPhone, users can scan this code directly on the native Camera app. Once scanned, the file gets transferred to the recipient. Google has also confirmed that all files shared this way are end-to-end encrypted. The shared link remains active for up to 24 hours, after which it expires automatically.

How to use the feature?

Once the feature is available on your Android device, check out the steps mentioned below to check how you can use it to send a file to an iPhone:

• First up, open the file you want to share on your Android phone.
• Now, tap the Share button and look out for Quick Share in the sharing options.

• Now, on the iPhone, scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
• A link will appear on the iPhone screen, and the recipient will just need to tap on it.

What are Instagram Instants?

Instagram Instants is a new product that enables people to send temporary photos to their close friends or to other people they share some followers with on Instagram through direct messaging on the platform.

Users can send Instants directly within Instagram or through a separate Instants camera app. The photos disappear after they are opened and cannot be viewed again after 24 hours. Instagram also gives users a short time to undo a sent Instant before the receiver opens it.

How to turn off Instagram Instants

If you do not want Instants appearing in your inbox, follow these steps on Android or iPhone:

1. Open the Instagram app on your device.

2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner of the screen and press the three-line menu in the top-right corner.

3. Go to Content Preferences under the 'What you see' section.

4. Enable the switch next to Hide Instants in inbox. Once you've enabled the setting, Instants will no longer appear in your DM inbox.

Users can also temporarily hide Instants by pressing and holding the Instants section in the inbox and swiping right. Swiping left brings it back again.

Step 1: Creating an image using ChatGPT/Gemini

Our first step involves creating the base image, as that would be used to create the video going forward. Creating the image is pretty simple; all you need to do is take a picture of yourself and upload it onto either ChatGPT or Google Gemini, along with a prompt. 

Personally, I use ChatGPT for creating images, as I’ve found it to be better than Gemini in comparison. It is recommended to use a good portrait picture for the best results. As for the prompt, simply copy and paste the one mentioned below:

Image prompt: 

“Reference image person caught mid-celebration in a packed IPL stadium crowd — face structure fully preserved, natural euphoric expression, mouth open in a victory shout, one fist punched in the air. Wearing a [Team Name] jersey, surrounded by a sea of matching colours. Broadcast-quality stadium lighting — warm tungsten floodlights mixing with cool LED wash. Step 2: Importing the generated image onto Google’s Flow 

Once the image has been created, you can either edit or download it locally by clicking on the image. Next up, to create the video, you’d need to use Google’s latest image and video generator called Flow. Simply open the Flow website on either your phone or desktop. Once there, you should see the ‘Start’ and ‘End’ templates. Click on them, and upload the image that you just generated.

Step 3: Creating video using Flow

Once the image has been imported onto Google Flow, all you need to do is use the correct prompt and make sure the settings are right. As for the settings, make sure you’ve selected videos, and choose the aspect ratio as you want it. For the prompt, you can find it mentioned below:

Video prompt:

Method 1: Check IMEI number

The simplest way to confirm whether your device is genuine or not is to verify the IMEI number of the device against the official website of the brand. Every brand has an exclusive webpage where you can enter the IMEI number of your device to obtain details related to the device.

The IMEI number is a unique identifier of the device. If you wish to know the IMEI number of your smartphone within a short span of time, all you have to do is launch the Phone app from your device and dial *#06#.

Check if the number displayed on your device screen is similar to the one printed on the retail box of your device. Other than that, you should also check the invoice of the device you received and ensure that the IMEI number mentioned there matches the one on your device screen and retail box.

Digital transactions have certainly simplified our lives. However, at times, one may find themselves in situations where they lack access to the internet or their smartphones. Nevertheless, the transfer or receipt of money using UPI can still be accomplished in very easy ways even when such circumstances arise. The use of features such as dial codes and voice calls that link you directly to your bank account can still be utilised in performing money transfers. These methods work smoothly without using mobile data, allowing money to be sent quickly and safely. In this guide I'll walk you through simple methods using which you can make UPI payments without needing the internet or a smartphone.

Method 1: Using Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

One of the easiest methods of transferring money that doesn’t require the use of the internet or smartphones is just making a call. This is how you do it:

1. Launch your phone app and dial your bank’s IVR number using your registered mobile number.

Note: It won't work with any other number.

2. Choose the language you're comfortable with.

3. When the menu plays, press the option for money transfer.

4. Enter the mobile number or UPI ID of whoever you're sending money to.

5. Enter the amount. You can either type it in or just say it out loud.

6. Finish up by entering your 4 or 6-digit UPI PIN to confirm the payment.

Method 2: Via app on feature phones

Quite a few feature phones these days come with a lightweight UPI app already loaded in, and the good part is, it works even without a data connection.

1. Open the UPI Lite app on your feature phone.

2. Find the Send Money or Pay option and select it.

3. Put in the recipient's phone number or UPI ID.

4. Type in the amount you want to send.

5. Enter your UPI PIN when prompted.

Once the payment goes through, a confirmation message will pop up on your screen.

Method 3: With proximity sound

The other way is by using the sound proximity system. This technique is quite unique since it uses the sound waves to communicate from your device to the other party's device rather than the data. But here’s how easy it is to do this:

1. Open your Phone app and call 6366200200 (this is the designated IVR number for this).

2. From the menu, pick the Pay to Merchant option.

3. Hold your phone close to the merchant's sound-based payment device, usually a Sound Box.

4. Once you hear the unique tone from the device, press the # key on your keypad.

5. Enter the payment amount.

6. Type your UPI PIN to complete the transaction.

After that, both you and the merchant will get an instant audio or SMS confirmation that the payment went through.

Method 4: Using missed call

If the other methods feel like too many steps, this one's about as simple as it gets.

1. Open your Phone app and dial the specific number shown at the merchant's counter or shop.

2. You'll get an automated call back almost immediately. Just wait for it.

3. The call will ask you to verify the merchant's name and confirm the transaction.

4. Enter the amount as prompted by the voice.

5. Authenticate by typing your UPI PIN.

Now, you'll get a text message shortly after confirming the payment was successful.
