iQOO 16 design teased ahead of launch, reveals holographic finish: Here is what we know

iQOO is all set to launch its next flagship model in the home as well as global markets, including India. The iQOO 16 was previously tipped to bring major design changes when compared to its predecessors, and a recent image that surfaced online just confirmed that. The image showcases the rear panel of the device with a redesigned camera module. While the company has been tight-lipped about the specs leaks, rumours have always hinted at what the smartphone could launch with. Here is everything we know about the iQOO 16 so far, including its confirmed design, expected specifications, launch timeline and price.
SurveyiQOO 16: Design (Confirmed)
According to the teaser shared by iQOO on Weibo ahead of its China launch, the company finally unveiled the design of the upcoming iQOO 16. The smartphone will feature a new camera design with three sensors placed inside a square frame in a connected triangular layout. The smartphone manufacturer says that the design takes inspiration from a spacecraft porthole and a navigation marker.
Other than that, one can also see geometric patterns and a holographic finish on the rear panel of the device. The buyers can expect a laser holographic imaging finish featuring red holographic patterns and blue light effects that appear to move as the phone is tilted with the Chasing Light variant of the iQOO 16.

iQOO 16: Specs (Expected)
The iQOO 16 is said to come with a 6.85-inch flat OLED display paired with a 165 Hz refresh rate. The device is also said to house Qualcomm’ Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage options.
Leaks also suggest that in terms of optics, the upcoming device may house a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. At the front it’s also said to come with a 50MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is also anticipated to come with an 8,500 mAh silicon carbon battery, which may also get 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
iQOO 16: Launch timeline and price (Expected)
The iQOO 16 will launch in China on September 14. It is expected to arrive in India later in 2026, although iQOO has not yet confirmed an India launch date or price.
The phone could be priced between Rs 80,000 and Rs 89,999 in India, putting it directly in the premium flagship segment.
