The Nokia 8.1 has received a price cut in India.

The smartphone is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant.

The 6GB/128GB variant is now priced at Rs 22,999.

HMD Global has cut the price of the Nokia 8.1 in India. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant which launched at Rs 26,999 is now available for Rs 19,999 whereas the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant which launched at Rs 29,999 is now available for Rs 22,999. The Nokia India official website says that those that purchase the smartphone get a gift card worth Rs.4000 and one-time screen replacement using the promo code: MATCHDAYS. Airtel prepaid customers on Nokia 8.1 get 1TB of 4G data on eligible plans starting Rs. 199 and Airtel post-paid customers can enjoy additional data of 120GB along with three months of Netflix subscription and one year of Amazon Prime subscription on plans starting Rs. 499. Customers can also avail no cost EMI on select credit cards for 3,6 or 9 months duration on a minimum cart value of Rs 6,000 to a maximum cart value of Rs 37,000. The offers are available on the phones purchased on 5th, 9th, 13th, 16th, 22nd, 27th and 30th of June 2019 from www.nokia.com/phones within India only.

Speaking of the specifications of the Nokia 8.1, the smartphone is said to be constructed out of a single block of Series 6000 aluminium with dual-tone diamond cut edges. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. The smartphone is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with support for 18W quick charging. The Nokia 8.1 sports a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It comes with HDR 10 support and has a resolution of 1080×2244 pixels. The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The handset is an Android One device that runs on stock Android 9 Pie out of the box. 

For the camera, the smartphone sports Zeiss optics and comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) support. The phone has a 12MP primary camera with 1.4-micron pixels, 1/2.55-inch sensor and is paired with a 13MP secondary depth-sensing camera. The phone’s primary camera supports Dual PDAF and can capture 4K videos at 30 frames per second. On the front, the Nokia 8.1 comes with a 20MP sensor.
