Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched the flagship Honor 20 Series devices at an event in London, and as rumoured, it has unveiled the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro smartphones. Both the devices ship with flagship specifications and borrow design elements from the Honor View 20 as well as the Huawei P30 Pro. The primary difference between the two phones is RAM and storage. The Honor 20 ships with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage for a price of 499 Euros (approx Rs 39,000). The Honor 20 Pro comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at 599 Euros (approx Rs 46,500). The company will launch these phones in India on June 11, along with the Honor 20i. Honor has partnered with Flipkart to retail the phones on the e-commerce website.

Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro specifications:

Under the hood, both the phones have the AI-powered flagship HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor with Dual-NPU. The chipset is manufactured by 7nm fabrication process. Both the phones come with a 6.26-inch All-View Display and FHD+ (2340×1080) resolution. There's a punch-hole that houses the front camera. The back panel has 3D Triple Mesh technology that create patterns and a gradient effect. The Honor 20 Pro will be available in Phantom Blue and Phantom Black colours, while the Honor 20 will be offered in Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black hues. The phones are fitted with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that you might have seen on the Samsung Galaxy S10e.

When it comes to the camera, both the Honor 20 and 20 Pro feature a quad camera setup, but there’s a difference in the sensor configuration. The Honor 20 Pro has a 48MP primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.4 aperture lens, a 16MP ultra wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto camera. There's a 2MP macro camera in a separate housing which serves as the fourth sensor. The company claims that users can take shots from as close as 4 centimetres away with the macro lens. The telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom (30x digital zoom). The phones can shoot slow-motion video at 960fps in 720p.

The Honor 20 has a different camera config and gets the 48MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The telephoto camera is replaced with a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera has a 32MP sensor that combines four pixels into one larger pixel for better selfies. The Honor 20 houses a 3,750mAh battery, while the Pro model ships with a 4,000mAh battery. Both phones support up to 22.5W fast charging, run on Android 9 Pie with Magic UI on top, and are equipped wiuth a new virtual 9.1 surround sound.
