HIGHLIGHTS

The OPPO F11 Pro comes equipped with VOOC 3.0 charging technology that can save 20 minutes charging time required to top-up a 4000mAh battery.

Smartphones have changed our lives in ways we couldn’t even have dreamed of. These pocket-sized tech wonders are capable of many things and are just getting better every year. Smartphone innovation has reached a point where modern handsets are able to offer high resolution displays, large camera setup, and impressive performance packed inside an incredibly thin body. Smartphones have a limited battery life and as such, need to be charged regularly. This charging process usually takes quite a while, which can be quite a hassle if you’re in a hurry and your battery is low. This is where fast charging technology like OPPO F11 Pro's VOOC 3.0 comes into play.

VOOC stands for Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging and was first introduced in India by OPPO in 2018. The charging solution not only offered faster-charging speeds, but did so safely without the risk of overheating. The VOOC 3.0, which will be introduced with the launch of the F11 Pro is likely to offer faster charging than most handsets with similar battery capacity of 4,000mAh.

OPPO’s new VOOC 3.0 charging technology enhances the trickle charging speed by slowing voltage reduction thereby saving 20 minutes of the time required to charge.

Faster charging is definitely a feature that everyone desires for their smartphones. With VOOC 3.0, you no longer would have to wait for hours for the phone to charge fully. Even a short burst of charging would be enough for a few hours of talk time. Just what you need when you have to rush out.

This feature is also very handy for mobile gamers who use their smartphones a lot. Modern games like PUBG Mobile require a pretty sizable amount of power, which can drain the battery quite quickly. Sometimes, the battery may discharge faster than it’s getting charged. So charging the phone at the same time may not be enough. As such, VOOC 3.0 would be pretty helpful for gamers as they would be able to play for extended periods, while charging their phones at the same time.

In fact, the OPPO F11 Pro sports a number of features that might appeal to gamers. One of the most notable is HyperBoost. This nifty little feature optimises the phone for a gaming session. The feature optimises memory so that the game can make the most of the available amount of RAM. This should improve loading speeds, so you don’t have to wait forever for the game to load. Hyperboost will also increase will also increase touch sensitivity, so that you don’t lose just because your phone refused to register a touch. Hyperboost also offers other features such as Game Assistant, Game Space and Game Speech Enhancement in order to offer an improved gaming experience.

Adding to this is the fact that the OPPO F11 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P70 chipset. This is an octa-core CPU with an ARM Mali-G72 GPU which is an improvement from the previous P60. The new Helio P70 offers good performance in gaming over its predecessor, ensuring better frame rates in demanding games.

As one can see, the combination of the P70 chipset and Hyperboost makes the OPPO F11 Pro a phone that gamers should definitely consider. This, combined with the convenience that VOOC 3.0 offers, make the phone quite interesting, to say the least.
