Epson has announced that it has retained the number one position in the Indian projector market according to data released by Cyber Media Research. The company registered a consistent growth in the education, business, and home segments and had a market share of 24% in terms of unit shipments during 1H FY15-16. The company also has a 27% market share in terms of revenue. In addition, Epson recorded a 5% growth in volume and 7% growth in revenue in 1H FY15-16 as compared to the same period last year.

Epson, the world leader in projectors today announced that it has retained the No.1 position in the Indian Projector Market according to the latest data released by Cyber Media Research (CMR) for the period 1H FY15-16. This leadership position, reiterates Epson’s commitment to the Projector business, and follows an impressive growth trajectory built over the last few years in both the business and home segments.
 
Epson registered consistent growth in the education, business and home segments and dominated the country’s projector market with 24% market share in terms of unit shipments and 27% market share in terms of revenue. The company recorded 5% growth in volume and 7% in revenue in 1H FY15-16 over the same period last year.
 
The Indian Projector market is highly competitive with more than 20 brands currently competing for a piece of the pie.  The India digital projector market recorded revenue of Rs. 3,527 million in 1H FY15-16 and the volume is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7% from FY2015-16 to FY2020-21.
