The stores will be opened in an area of about 400-500 square feet along with the signature styled appearance that one sees globally. The Cupertino-based tech giant will also be training the sales staff. Avijit Mitra, CEO of Infiniti Retail told ET, "We are proud to partner Apple to launch the Apple Store in India and extremely bullish about it. These stores will be modeled on the global design and will offer the best experience to consumers, showcasing the entire range of Apple products." As of now, Apple sells its products in India on exclusive stores through franchisees known as Apple Premium Resellers.

Apart from the stores, Apple is also gearing up for the launch of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in India on October 16. The iPhones are already available for pre-orders on online shopping websites Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm, and Infibeam along with Vodafone Stores. Amazon has also partnered with Vodafone for providing offers to users pre-booking the newly launched iPhones. The pricing of the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB iPhones 6s will be priced at Rs. 62,000, Rs. 72,000, and Rs. 82,000 respectively. On the other hand, the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB iPhone 6s Plus will be priced at Rs. 72,000, Rs. 82,000, and Rs. 92,000 respectively.

The iPhone 6s sports a 4.7-inch display with 754x1334p resolution and runs on the latest dual-core A9 chipset clocked at 1.84GHz. It has 2GB of RAM and 12MP/5MP cameras. As for iPhone 6s Plus, it is almost similar to the iPhone 6s but with a larger display, at 5.5-inch and 1080p resolution. Both the iPhones run on the latest iOS 9 operating system and support the new 3D Touch technology by Apple. The technology basically senses the pressure of the touch on the display to accomplish different tasks accordingly.
