Scientists discover a revolutionary way of producing synthetic blood from IVF embryos

British scientists have reportedly discovered a revolutionary method of producing human red blood cells from spare IVF embryonic stem cells. They claimed that the groundbreaking project might pave the way for mass production of synthetic ‘O-negative’ blood for medical transfusions. It is said that the £3 billion project is focussed on producing alternative source for O-negative blood (universal donor group), that could save the hassles of blood shortage and rejected blood samples. If the project turns out successful, we could witness the dawn of a new era in medical history!
