The Galaxy Watch 9 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes and adds a sapphire crystal display, a new Snapdragon chip and a bigger battery. The Pixel Watch 5 features an aluminium case and comes in two sizes, notably 41mm and 45mm. Talking about the dimensions of the wearable, it is 12.3mm thick, with the smaller model weighing 31g and the larger one 36.7g without the band.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 9 boasts an aluminium frame with a sapphire crystal front. Users can choose between 40mm and 44mm sizes. The smartwatch is 8.6 mm thick and weighs around 31.5 grams without the band, while the larger version weighs 34.0 grams.

Google’s Pixel Watch 5 comes with an AMOLED LTPO panel with a refresh rate of 1Hz to 60Hz. When used outdoors, the wearable can reach a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 sports a super AMOLED panel paired with an adaptive refresh rate of 60Hz. Under the bright sunlight the wearable can be as bright as 3,000 nits.

Under the hood, the Pixel Watch 5 draws its power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 accelerated chipset paired with a Cortex-M55 coprocessor and 64 GB storage. Out of the box the wearable runs on Wear OS 7.

On the other hand, Samsung’s watch uses the 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC and gets paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The wearable runs on Wear OS 7 with One UI features.
