Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi has launched its cheapest television set in China and is a part of Xiaomi’s Mi TV 4A series. Called the Mi TV 4A 32, it has a screen size of 32-inches and weighs 3.9kgs thanks to the plastic body. The Xiaomi Mi TV 4A is priced at CNY 1,099 (approx. Rs 10,500 ). At this price point, it is the cheapest TV Xiaomi has ever made. There is no information available whether this TV will make its debut in India or in any other market outside of China.
Talking about some of the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 4A TV, the 32-inch display has a resolution of 768x1366 pixels and sports a 60Hz refresh rate. The TV comes with Xiaomi's AI-based PatchWall system, which means that the TV can recommend content to the user based on his/her viewing habits and features speech recognition. It is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and houses the Mali-450 MP3 GPU along with 1GB of RAM. It also has 4GB of built-in storage. In terms of connectivity options, the Mi TV 4A 32-inch comes with Wi-Fi, a USB port, an Ethernet port, two HDMI ports, and an AV port.
The Mi TV 4A 32-inch will go on sale in China starting midnight July 23. As a part of an initial offer, Xiaomi will offer a discount of CNY 100 off the shipping fee.
The Mi TV 4A series was introduced in March and has a bunch of TV size options available including 43-inch, 45-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch variants. The 43 and 45 inch models are Full HD, whereas the 55 and 65-inch models are 4K.
Xiaomi has a large portfolio of gadgets apart from smartphones, but most of them are not available in India. Xiaomi also has a 4K ready Mi Box, which is powered by Android 6.0.
Xiaomi recently launched its large screen smartphone, the Mi Max 2 in India at Rs 16,999. The smartphone has a 6.44-inch 1080p display, and a massive 5300mAh battery. The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 625 platform coupled with 4GB RAM. It has a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
