A 55-inch variant of the TV is speculated to launch in the coming months. The TV is expected to support Dolby Audio.
According to a report by 91mobiles, it looks like we will get a new addition to the budget Android TV segment. It is reported that Itel will launch a 32-inch and a 43-inch Android TV in India in March with a 55-inch TV scheduled to launch in the coming months. Other specifications and details of the upcoming TV are not yet known.
According to the report, the TVs will come with a “frameless premium design, an ultra-bright display, and Dolby Audio support”. Since the TVs are running on Android TV, they will support the Google Play Store but it remains to be seen whether the TV will support all popular streaming services. As is the trend in the 32-inch and 43-inch segment, we can expect the 32-inch TV to be an HD ready one with the 43-inch variant sporting an FHD resolution. We can also expect the TVs to sport 2 or 3 HDMI ports and come with a voice-enabled remote control.
In the budget segment, we have a number of brands offering attractive products at competitive pricing. We have the like of Xiaomi, OnePlus, TCL and more bringing their own Android TVs. Xiaomi offers the convenience of the Android TV and PatchWall UI while TCL offers a Stock Android TV experience. OnePlus brings the benefits of Android TV and OxygenPlay to the mix. All brands offer 32 and 43-inch variants of their TVs.
