Jio has announced its new All-In-One recharge plans for its users.
The new Jio plans are priced at Rs 222, Rs 333, Rs 444 and Rs 555.
We have compared these plans against similarly priced offerings by Airtel and Vodafone.
Most Jio users must be aware by now that voice calling users on other networks is no longer free and they will be charged 6 paise per minute. The decision by the company was bound to draw the ire of its users but Jio recently announced some new All-In-One plans that are said to be value for money offerings. These plans are priced at Rs 222, Rs 333 and Rs 444 and are valid for one, two and three months respectively. While we have detailed everything about these plans in our previous story, here, we will compare these new Jio plans with similarly priced prepaid packs by Airtel and Vodafone-Idea.
The Jio Rs 222 All-In-One prepaid recharge offers 2GB data per day and it comes with a 28 day validity. Jio to Jio calls are unrestricted but one will get 1000 minutes for calling users on other networks, along with 100 daily free SMS and access to Jio’s apps. Additionally, one can pay Rs 111 to extend the benefits by one month.
In comparison, Airtel’s Rs 249 recharge also comes with 2GB of daily high speed data and 28 day validity. However, there’s unlimited calling on any network, along with 100 free daily SMS and some additional benefits like free access to Wynk Music, Airtel’s Xstream App, four week of Shaw Academy course and 1 year of Norton Mobile Security subscription
Coming to Vodafone, the telco has a prepaid plan priced at Rs 229 that offers 2GB of daily data for 28 days. The pack also comes with 100 free daily SMS and access to the Vodafone Play app.
Jio’s Rs 333 pack offers the same 2GB data and 1000 IUC minutes, however, the validity is extended to 56 days. Airtel has two plans that offer 2GB daily data, which are priced at Rs 249 and Rs 458. However, neither of them are similar to Jio’s offering, both in terms of validity and pricing. The two plans by Airtel come with 2GB daily data but they are valid for 28 days and 82 days respectively. The aforementioned benefits with Airtel are still available, along with free 100 SMS per day.
Coming to Vodafone, the telco offers a plan priced at Rs 458, which comes with 84 days validity and credits 1.5GB data per day. There’s also a prepaid plan priced at Rs 399 that comes with 84 day validity but offers only 1GB data per day. Both these plans come with unlimited calling and 100 daily SMS.
