The plan offers 6GB of total data.

It will be valid till the ongoing unlimited plan.

Telecom giant Jio recently revealed its new 5G data plan for ₹61. This plan is exclusively for its prepaid users. To allow more users to experience the recently launched 5G, Jio has added an upgrade section for the same both on its MyJio App as well as the website. It will benefit users by allowing them to access 5G at an affordable rate.

Reliance

The newly launched plan of ₹61 is a data voucher which offers 6GB of 5G data after which the speed will drop to 64Kbps. It will come with the same validity as the user's active recharge plan and can be combined with packs worth ₹119, ₹149, ₹179, ₹199 and ₹209.

Until now, Jio users could only use 5G benefits if they purchased a recharge plan of Rs 239 or above. With the availability of the ₹61 vouchers, even those with a recharge plan of a lesser amount can employ 5G services. What's noteworthy is that this voucher will only work with the plans mentioned above.

To avail of the 5G services your device should be 5G compatible and 5G should be available in your city too. Before purchasing this voucher, you should keep in mind that this offer is valid only if you have previously received the Jio 5G Welcome offer.

5G

5G was launched in India on October 1, 2022, after years of waiting. Jio 5G was launched around the same time last year. The availability of the service which was earlier limited to a few metropolitan cities is slowly being brought to other cities of the country. Reliance Jio has now deployed its 5G services in about 88 cities around the country. It aims to bring 5G to more and more cities in 2023.
