Yahoo had launched Aviate as invite-only beta earlier, but has now made it available to all users via Google Play. Aviate has also added some new features like weather alerts, connect to conference calls without having to enter in the meeting code, email colleagues if you are late for a meeting and estimate your commute time on your way to work. It also has a new favorite contacts menu that is accessible by swiping up from the launcher.

"We created Aviate to connect you with the information you need at the moment it's useful," Aviate founder and Yahoo product manager Mark Daiss said in a Tumblr post. "Yahoo Aviate simplifies everything about your phone."

The Android launchers are useful and help in creating double the number of shortcuts on your home screen with swipe actions. You can also use multi-finger gestures to launch apps and quickly jump between your home screens.

Nokia recently launched its first Android launcher called 'Z Launcher'. According to the company the launcher is designed to minimize the clutter and random app shortcuts on your home screen and give you a customized experience. It has a scribble feature that lets you write out whatever you’re searching for in the middle of your homescreen.
