Xolo Q500, 4-inch dual-SIM quad-core smartphone launched at Rs. 7,999

The Xolo Q500 features X-TransPic app, which allows users to translate Hindi words into English.

Xolo has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with the launch of Q500. Priced at Rs. 7,999, the Xolo Q500 supports dual-SIM, runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor.

The Xolo Q500 has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The smartphone has 5MP rear camera and VGA front-facing camera. It has 4GB inbuilt storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD card and 1GB of RAM.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ AGPS. The Q500 is powered by a 1,450 mAh battery.

The smartphone comes pre-installed with X-TransPic app, which allows users to translate Hindi words into English. The app is also capable of reading the translation out loud.

The Xolo Q500 comes preloaded with X-TransPic app which the company claims can help users translate Hindi words to English and also read out the detected text by using text to speech functionality.

Xolo recently launched quite a few smartphones under its Q and A series. Last month, Xolo added two new smartphones to its portfolio – Xolo Q800 X-Edition and A500s IPS. It also launched the XOLO Q1000 Opus, which is based on Broadcom SOC. The Xolo Q2000 featuring quad-core processor, 5.5 inch HD display and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean was launched last month.
