On the camera front, the Mi Mix 2 gets a single 12MP rear camera setup with Sony IMX386 sensor, similar to the one found on Xiaomi's flagship Mi 6. The rear camera supports a larger 1.25-micron pixels, has four axis optical image stabilisation and dual-tone LED flash. The Mi Mix 2 features a 5MP front camera and like its predecessor, it is placed at the lower end of the device. Xiaomi has also redesigned the audio output with a hidden speaker similar to Andy Rubin's Essential Phone.
The Mi Mix 2 runs MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and offers a comparatively smaller 3400mAh battery. The Mi Mix 2 is priced at 3,299 Yuan (around Rs 33,000) for the 6GB RAM, 64GB storage variant.
