The Xiaomi Mi A3 price in India is set starting at Rs 12,999
The new Android One device by Xiaomi runs on stock Android OS.
The Mi A3 runs on a Snapdragon 665 and comes with up to 6GB RAM.
After launching its third Android One handset in some countries overseas, Xiaomi has finally made the Mi A3 official in India. We already knew almost everything there was to know about the smartphone, be it the specs or the design. However, the smartphone maker has announced the India pricing and availability of the device at an event today. The Mi A3 is the company’s third Android One handset, which ditches the company’s MIUI to run on stock Android 9 Pie. It is a mid-range handset that is following the triple rear camera trend and adds a 48MP sensor to sweeten the deal.
The Xiaomi A3 is powered by the 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage space. It features a 6.08-inch AMOLED HD+ display with a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio and a 1560 x 720p resolution. Do note that while Mi A3’s display is slightly bigger, it takes a step back in terms of display since the Mi A2 sports a Full HD display with a 1080 x 2160p resolution. Backed by a 4030mAh battery, the handset sports a USB Type-C port that supports Quick Charge 3.0 with 18W Fast Charge. In addition, the company decided to bring back the 3.5mm audio jack, which was omitted from the Mi A2.
Coming to the optics, the Mi A3 features a triple rear camera setup. It consists of a 48MP Sony sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens, which is supplemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera can record 4K video at 30fps and slow-motion Full HD video at 120fps. It also supports AI portrait mode. On the front sits a 32MP sensor, which is paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens and comes with support for AI Face Unlock and Panorama selfie. The handset features P2i nano-coating that is said to provide protection against accidental spills.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 comes in two variants in India. Its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version is priced at Rs 12,999 and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage will cost Rs 15,999. It will be available in Not just Blue, More than White, and Kind of Grey colour models. The Mi A3 will be up for sale at 12PM from August 23 via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
