The Mi A2 will be Xiaomi’s second phone to run stock Android, and the Mi A2 Lite, the third. They both are expected to be Android One smartphones, which means they’re entitled to monthly security patches and at least two major OS updates.  Both phones are expected to run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

We know that the specs of the Mi A2 will be similar to those of the Mi 6X, with the difference lying in only software. The camera setup will include a 20-megapixel sensor combined with a 12-megapixel sensor for the back and a 20-megapixel sensor for the front. The battery is expected to be a 3,010 mAh unit with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
