Xiaomi Mi 6 teasers hint at 6GB RAM, dual-rear camera

The company has released a series of videos teasing the upcoming smartphone, which is scheduled to be unveiled on April 19 in China

Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone, the Mi 6 is set to be unveiled on April 19 in Beijing, China. Now though, the company has posted new teaser videos, as well as a post on its official Weibo account. Both suggest that the smartphone will come with 6GB of RAM. XiaomiToday, which has translated the videos, reports that the videos also reports that the teasers also hint at a dual rear camera setup. Previous reports have suggested that the upcoming smartphone may come with a 5.1-inch Full HD display. The device is also tipped to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 platform, which is also used on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. The device is also expected to offer up to 128GB of inbuilt storage with prices starting at CNY 2,199 (approx Rs. 20,500), and going all the way up to CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs. 24,200). 

Besides the Mi 6, reports have suggested that the company may launch the Mi Max 2 phablet alongside its flagship smartphone. The smartphone was recently spotted on GFXBench and was listed has having a 6.4-inch Full HD display along with a 5000mAh battery. Other features listed included 12MP rear and 5MP front cameras, as well as Android Nougat.
