Specifications and features
The TV uses a Mini QD panel, which combines Mini LED backlighting with a Quantum Dot layer. Mini LED increases the number of backlight zones compared to conventional LED TVs, helping improve contrast and control over bright and dark areas. Kodak claims up to 1500 nits peak brightness and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio.
At this brightness level, HDR highlights such as sunlight reflections and explosions should appear more intense than on typical edge-lit LED TVs that peak at 400 to 600 nits. The TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG formats. With Quantum Dot technology, it claims to reproduce over 1.1 billion colours and an ultra-wide colour gamut, which should benefit HDR movies and sports content.
The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate. For gaming, it includes VRR, ALLM and MEMC. VRR helps reduce screen tearing when paired with compatible consoles, while ALLM automatically switches the TV to a low-latency mode.

A key highlight is the built-in six-speaker system with a total output of 108W. Kodak says this includes two subwoofers and two ‘sky’ subwoofers, aimed at creating a more immersive soundstage. The TV supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus.
The TV runs on Google TV, offering access to more than 10,000 apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and Apple TV. Google TV focuses on content aggregation and personalised recommendations across streaming platforms.
It is powered by a MediaTek processor paired with a Mali-G52 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The connectivity options include three HDMI ports with ARC and CEC support, two USB ports, Optical audio out, dual-band Wi-Fi, 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and Bluetooth 5.0. The TV also supports built-in Chromecast and Apple AirPlay, along with a voice-enabled remote featuring Google Assistant.
Compared to its previous conventional LED models, the move to Mini LED and Quantum Dot technology signals a shift towards higher-end picture performance. However, actual performance depends on the number of dimming zones and processing, which will have to be tested.
