Xiaomi confirms the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series in October. As you’d guess, the phones could debut in the home market of China. The teaser post suggests the Redmi Note 12 will bring “two major technologies” out of which one would be “first in the world”. For anything more about the phones, we will have to rely on the rumor mill. Let’s do just that.

For starters, there could be multiple models including a standard Redmi 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. A recent listing on the Chinese eCommerce site JD mentions even a phone called Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme edition, although nothing else about the phone is known.
The former three devices have been rated to support 67W, 120W, and 210W fast charging speeds.
Redmi Note 11 Pro
Another major rumor that we have come across is that the Redmi Note 12 Pro could feature a Mediatek Dimensity 1080 SoC. It’s a 6nm chip with support for LPDDR5 memory and USF 3.1 storage. The silicon also sports 200MP support which perhaps could make its way to the Redmi Note 12 Pro. Other key highlights of the chipset entail WiFi 6, sub-6GHz 5G, and up to 120Hz refresh rate display support.
Let’s see if all of these things are part of the Note 12 Pro too.
That’s pretty much all we know about the Redmi Note 12 lineup as of now.
