Next Mi phone to feature a high-resolution display, hints Xiaomi
Xiaomi's new teasers about the upcoming Mi smartphone, dubbed as Mi 4i, hint at a high resolution display, longer battery life and an improved camera.
Xiaomi is gearing up for a major event on April 23 in Delhi. The company has already been teasing its new device across the social media. The latest teaser hints that the company will launch a high resolution display smartphone at its 'Global Mi Phone Premiere' event in Delhi on April 23.
On its official Facebook page, Xiaomi India teased an image that hints at a high resolution display device with two paintings side by side, but the left one is blurred while the right gives a clearer view. The post reads, "Are all screens of the same size the same?" alongside two hashtags 'Mi Launch 2015' and 'i Disagree'. Read: Xiaomi all set to launch new smartphones on 23rd April 2015
According to rumors, the Chinese handset maker is expected to either launch a new Mi smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 4i or its Mi Note Pro and Mi Note tablets at the event. Xiaomi Mi 4i is a variant of the Mi 4 launched earlier this year. Details about the phone have already been spotted on Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority database and on Geekbench benchmark site. The Mi 4i will run Android 5.0.2 OS with MIUI. It has a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 1.65 GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. It is expected to have a 4.9-inch full HD display, a 12 MP rear snapper and a 5 MP front selfie camera. The latest development comes short after Xiaomi reduced the price on its Mi4 16 GB and 64 GB variants in India by Rs. 2,000. The handset maker has confirmed that the new prices will be available through ecommerce retailer Flipkart, Amazon India, Snapdeal as well as offline through The Mobile Store across India.
