Xiaomi has just unveiled its latest generation of flagship phones – Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max in its home country, China. The smartphones ship with a secondary display at the back, which surrounds the rear camera module and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC under the hood. While this sounds interesting, tech enthusiasts in India will have to wait a little longer as the phones are expected to arrive early next year, if Xiaomi follows its usual timeline.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max India launch timeline (Expected)

While there are no official details available on the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro Max’s arrival in India, the devices are expected to debut sometime in February 2026.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is likely to ship with similar specifications as their Chinese counterparts. The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max may come equipped with a 6.9-inch main display, featuring 2K resolution with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass protection and 3,500 nits brightness. The device will likely pack a “Magic Back Screen,” which users can take selfies with the rear main camera and preview shots taken by others.

The handset could be powered by Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It is expected to ship with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 that introduces a Dynamic Island-like feature called HyperIsland.

In the camera department, the handset could come with a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary Light Hunter 950L sensor, a 50-megapixel (f/2.0) telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultrawide-angle sensor with 5x optical zoom support. At the front, it may have 50-megapixel sensors for selfies and video calls.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is speculated to ship with a 7,500mAh cell, respectively. It could come with support for 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is expected to be pricier than the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. To recall, the latter was launched at Rs 1,09,999.
