Vivo is rebranding the X21 UD to Vivo X21 in India. The device is the first to bring under-display fingerprint sensor tech to India.

Vivo will launch its X21 smartphone in India at an event slated to commence at 12:30 PM today. The smartphone features an under-display/in-display fingerprint scanner and it will be available exclusively via Flipkart and Vivo's online store. The smartphone went up for pre-bookings ahead of the official launch via the Vivo online store and just before the official announcement, Flipkart has revealed the launch offers for the smartphone, which will be available while purchasing it. The event will be live streamed on Flipkart and via Vivo’s YouTube channel, but you can watch it directly from the video embedded below.

As for launch offers, there will be an extra Rs 3,000 off over regular exchange value and those purchasing the smartphone using an SBI credit card will get to avail a 5 percent cashback as well. There is also an option to opt-in for a no-cost EMI of up to 12 months on all credit cards.

The Vivo X21 sports a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC and comes with 6GB RAM, coupled with 128GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded further up to 256GB using a microSD card. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on FunTouch OS 4.0, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and as announced by Google at its developer conference, the latest Android P public beta will be available for the device as well. 

In terms of optics, the X21 is equipped with a vertically stacked dual-rear camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with a f/2.4 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, it features a 12MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and also features 3D mapping, IR fill light, and 'Face Wake' face unlock feature. The device supports LTE, comes with dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 and is backed by a 3200mAh battery.
