Two Vivo phones pass 3C Certification, may come with 22.5W charging support
HIGHLIGHTS

Two Vivo phones with model numbers V1809A and V1809T were seen on 3C certification site with a power adaptor of the type V2323A-CN that can support up to 22.5W output.

With a 12 percent share, Vivo took the third spot in total number of smartphone shipments in the Indian market for the second quarter of 2018. Its sister brands, Oppo and OnePlus, which are owned by the same parent company BBK Electronics, are also doing well in the country. While Oppo has VOOC Flash Charge and OnePlus has Dash Charge technology, Vivo still hasn’t unveiled any such fast charging tech, though it did launch the Vivo Nex in India with a 22.5W charger. Now, a 3C Certification listing has showed that two more Vivo phones will come bundled with the same power charger.

According to a listing on 3C Certification website, two Vivo devices with model numbers V1809A and V1809T are equipped with a power adapter of the type V2323A-CN that can support up to 22.5 W charger, including outputs of 5V==2A, 9V==2A or 10V==2.25A. It is speculated that these phones belong to the “X” Series line-up. This should not be a shocker because its sister company Oppo recently announced the Find X (First Impressions) Lamborghini Special Edition with a massive 50W charging output.

Oppo is also looking to launch two F-series smartphones, the F9 and F9 Pro, in India. The F9 Pro will come with the company’s proprietary VOOC Flash Charge technology. OnePlus, which recently dethroned Samsung from the top spot in the premium smartphone market segment, launched the OnePlus 6 with Dash Charge tech that can fully charge the battery in under an hour.
