Swipe launches 5-inch Konnect 5.0 quad-core smartphone for Rs 8999
Swipe Konnect 5.0 launched, boasts of a 5-inch qHD display, dual-sim and Android 4.2.
Swipe has announced a new smartphone called Swipe Konnect 5.0, under its Konnect series. Swipe claims that the smartphone is one of the world’s lightest 5-inch smartphone, weighing at just 135 grams. The budget dual-sim smartphone has been launched for Rs 8,999.
The Swipe Connect 5.0 has a 5-inch qHD capacitive touch screen IPS display with 960×540 pixels resolution based on OGS (One Glass Solution). It has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone has an 8MP rear camera with OmniVision sensor, LED flash and a 3.2MP front camera for video calling. The budget Connect 5.0 supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) with dual standby functionality and 3G connectivity. The smartphone supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has 8GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The Konnect 5.0 weighs just 135 grams and is backed by a 1950mAh battery.
The Swipe Konnect 5.0 is available in black and white colors. Swipe is also offering a free flip cover, screen guard and premium business navigator worth Rs.1,499 along with the handset.
The company planning to release 10 new devices in India in the same Konnect series by next quarter. Launched at Rs 8,999 Swipe Konnect 5.0 competes with Moto E and Micromax Canvas Unite 2.
