The Xperia X10 Mini and the Vivaz Pro have been launched in the Indian market without much fanfare. The X10 Mini, is Sony Ericsson’s smallest Android handset, and certainly one of the smallest smartphones in India today. Check it’s specifications below, compared to its bigger sister, the Xperia X10, and you’ll find that while they are similarly specced, the Mini has a lesser processor, less internal memory, a lesser camera, lacks Mediascape, and is half the price, apart from other small differences. It gains more colours though, apart from stereo radio. The similarly priced Vivaz and Vivaz Pro are however another story, with scarcely any difference other than the QWERTY keyboard of the Pro, and the fact that it now has a 5MP camera. This is not quite an acceptable trade-off however, as the best thing about the Vivaz was its excellent 8.1MP camera, and 720p HD video recording at 30fps. While the Pro still manages to deliver 720p, it’s at 24fps. The Vivaz Pro only comes in black and white, compared to the Vivaz, which comes in four dazzling colours.
