Samsung announces the ultra-slim Galaxy A5 and A3 smartphoneswith full metal unibody design and Android 4.4.

Samsung has announced the company's slimmest phones till date – the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. The smartphones are launched under Samsung's Galaxy A series and are meant for “young consumers seeking practicality and functionality”.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 has a 5-inch Super Amoled display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The smartphone has an ultrathin 6.7 mm body. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4. The smartphone has a 13 MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It has 16 GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot. The Galaxy A5 is backed by a 2300 mAh battery.

The Galaxy A3 has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The smartphone has a 6.9 mm body. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4. The smartphone has an 8MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. It has 8GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot. The smartphone is backed by a 1900 mAh battery.

Both the Galaxy A5 and A3 will be launched in November and will be available in a wide range of colors including Midnight Black, Pearl White, Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold, Light Blue, and Soft Pink. The official pricing of the smartphones has not been revealed yet.

Recentlly, Samsung also launched the metal framed Galaxy Alpha for Rs. 39,990 in India. It has a 4.7 inch 720p Super AMOLED display with 2GB RAM and runs Android KitKat. The smartphone has a thin 6.7 mm body, 32 GB internal memory and an octa-core SoC. The Galaxy Alpha has a 12 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front camera. It is backed by an 1860 Mah battery.
