SurveyAs the official details remain under wraps, here’s what we know about Samsung’s first tri-fold phone.
Samsung’s tri-fold processor and other details (Leaked)
A user, PandaFlashPro, has revealed some of the key specifications of Samsung’s first tri-fold, citing unknown industry sources. The handset is said to have a combination of titanium and aluminium frame and ditch the under-display camera. However, the latter one is not surprising as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is also rumoured to drop the under-display camera. It has also been said that the handset may come equipped with a Snapdragon chip.
Further, the tipster also claimed that Samsung’s tri-fold could pack 16GB of RAM and a higher-density battery.
Apart from these, the phone was previously tipped to sport a 9.9-inch display when fully unfolded. It will likely ship with a dual inner-folding mechanism, i.e., the display is likely to fold inward on both sides for enhanced durability from accidental drops and wear. Other leaked details include charging speeds between 23W and 24W.
Samsung’s tri-fold launch timeline (Expected)
According to leaks, the purported Galaxy G Fold could arrive by early 2026. However, the tech giant may showcase the device at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, according to a report by SamMobile. The company has hinted at the new “additions” to the Galaxy ecosystem.
Samsung’s tri-fold price (Expected)
The Galaxy tri-fold is speculated to come with a hefty price tag similar to the Huawei Mate XT. The latter was launched at a price of around $2,800 (roughly Rs. 2,38,345).
