Samsung to unveil Galaxy S III Mini on October 11

Samsung has confirmed it is soon going to launch a smaller version of its latest flagship smartphone, Galaxy S III. While talking to the Korean press, JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile Communication, said the company is set to launch a 4-inch version of the S III, dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, on October 11 in Germany.

“We’ll be launching a 4-inch Galaxy S III on the 11th in Germany. There’s a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some call it an entry-level device, but we call it mini,” says JK Shin.
Shin did not reveal others details about the device, though he said it was spurred by increasing demand for 4-inch devices in Europe. Rumors suggest that Samsung Galaxy S III mini will ship with Super AMOLED screen with WVGA resolution, a dual-core processor, a 5 megapixel rear camera and will be available in two colours– Blue and white.
