Samsung will be introducing its next generation of foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 on July 22 in Londo. The event is expected to introduce Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 along with Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2. But right ahead of launch, multiple leaks have revealed the possible design, specs and pricing of the upcoming foldables. The company has also started pre-reservation in India. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22, 2026, in London. The company has already started accepting the pre-reservations for the upcoming foldables. The customers can reserve the device by paying a token of Rs 999 via Samsung India.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8: Expected specifications
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup is tipped to arrive in two variants this year: a standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a wider form factor and a premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The regular model is expected to feature a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Ultra version can offer a larger 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover screen with a significantly reduced crease. Both foldables are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and as much as 1TB of storage.
For cameras, leaks suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 8 may feature dual 50MP rear sensors, while the Ultra model could include a flagship-grade 200MP primary camera, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto camera.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to retain its compact clamshell design while featuring a larger 6.9-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Depending on the market, it may be powered by either Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor or Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It is also expected to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10MP front-facing camera.
