The latter boasts top-tier hardware and a refined design with a bigger cover display and sleek aesthetics. While both devices sit firmly in the high-end foldable segment, which one would be a better pick? While this depends on your personal preferences, we have compared the two to help you make an informed decision.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Design and display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 retains a similar design from the previous generation. However, it has an edge-to-edge 4.1-inch cover screen that wraps around the rear camera lenses.

Notably, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is thinner than the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra 2025. The newly launched handset measures 13.7mm when closed, whereas the latter has a thickness of 15.7mm. That two-millimetre difference makes a huge difference, especially if you like to use your phone with a case. Samsung also prioritised durability with the IP48 certification and a mix of Armor Aluminium and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protective layer.

On the other hand, the Razr 60 Ultra has a 165Hz refresh rate and bright pOLED panels on both the cover screen and the inner display. The outer screen gets Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic coating to survive scratches and cracks well.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with an expansive 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, whereas the cover screen can shift between 60Hz and 120Hz settings.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Processor and storage

Samsung’s Flip 7 runs on its new Exynos 2500 chip, built on a 3nm process, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It also gets seven years of Android updates, starting with One UI 8 on Android 16. Additionally, Samsung includes its Galaxy AI features, powered by Google Gemini, for translation, summarising, and more.

However, Motorola clearly has an edge with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The phone runs Android 15 with Moto AI 2.0, including features like Look and Talk and Catch Me Up. However, it only promises three Android upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Camera

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is equipped with a primary 50MP sensor with optical stabilisation and a 12MP ultrawide shooter on the rear panel. On the cover display, it has a folding display with the same 10MP sensor again, so there aren’t any hardware upgrades on paper from its predecessor. However, real-world image quality is yet to be seen.

On the other hand, we have already seen the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra’s real-world image quality, and it gave us mixed results. On paper, the device boasts a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP front camera. However, it has an edge when it comes to video shooting as the device supports 8K, while the Z Flip 7 is limited to 4K.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Motorola Razr 60 Ultra: Battery and charging

Motorola Razr 60 Ultra with a 4,700mAh battery and 68W wired charging is clearly better than the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s 4,300mAh battery and 25W charging capability.
