Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus to cost much more than previous estimates
New leaks suggest that the phones will be priced higher than expected, and exact prices will vary depending on region.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been leaked way too many times already, and the latest leak states that the two phones will be quite expensive. As of now, the company has planned to announce both the devices on March 29, and the two smartphones in the S8 lineup may be significantly more expensive than previous estimates.
Previously rumoured prices of the S8 and S8+ were pegged at 799 euros (Rs. 56,300 approx.) and 899 euros (Rs. 63,400 approx.), respectively. The latest estimates state that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be priced at 829 euros (Rs. 58,400 approx.), and the S8+ may cost 929 euros (Rs. 65,500 approx.). In turn, prices for the two smartphones in India will possibly be even more.
Earlier rumours suggested that the upcoming Galaxy S8 and S8+ flagships will be less expensive in comparison to the Google Pixel and Apple iPhone 7, but Samsung may not be banking on price differences to garner sales figures for its 2017 flagship.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are expected to house 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED displays. The devices may be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It may house a 12MP primary camera module and an 8MP selfie shooter. The Galaxy S8 has been confirmed to introduce Samsung’s Bixby AI assistant, which is also expected to get a dedicated hardware button.
While rumours so far have revealed almost every aspect of the two flagship smartphones, we will get to know all of this for sure when the smartphones are unvieled on March 29
