HIGHLIGHTS

A new Samsung Galaxy camera has been spotted in the wild which is being rumoured as the Galaxy S5 Zoom, the successor to the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

According to a source, a new Samsung device has leaked which is being referred to as the Galaxy S5 Zoom which will be a camera-centric version of the recently announced Galaxy S5. Codenamed as K-Zoom, the device should be a successor to last year’s Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The leaked image shows that the device will have a faux leather back, just like the Galaxy Note devices, and a curved and much thinner design than the S4 Zoom. The K-Zoom is rumoured to come loaded with a 1.6 GHz quad-core CPU, or a 1.3 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Hexa CPU with ARM Mali-T624 graphics, a 4.8-inch display with 720p resolution, 2 GB of RAM, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The camera is expected to have a 20 MP sensor which could be a decent upgrade from the 16MP module on the S4 Zoom. Other features could include a 10x optical zoom and a Xenon flash. The sources also say that the lens will be much better hidden in the casing and that it will be much more compact. We really wish that Samsung makes the upcoming Galaxy Zoom device more slimmer than its predecessors as all the previous generations have been quite bulky and difficult to carry in a pocket. Hopefully we will see some more details unveiling about the device in the coming days.
