Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini specs and pics leaked online
Leaked images and specs of Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini reveal 4.5 inch display, Android 4.4 KitKat OS and 1.5 GB RAM.
New images and specifications of Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, Samsung’s upcoming miniature variant of its flagship device, have been leaked online. According to rumors, Samsung may unveil the device at the upcoming GALAXY Premiere 2014 event.
The specifications were leaked by Sammobile and shows screenshots of Antutu benchmark and CPU-Z, along with new pictures of the smartphone with the Galaxy S5 for size comparison. The images show off a phone similar to the full-sized Galaxy S5, with a soft touch back panel, heart rate monitor and fingerprint scanner. According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will also have a IP67 dust- and water-resistant body.
The post on SamMobile says, "The Galaxy S5 Mini is expected to come with a Samsung Exynos 3 Quad SoC having a clock speed of 1.4GHz, Quad-Core Mali-400 MP4 GPU at 450MHz. The device will be powered by 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 8-megapixel primary camera and 2.1-megapixel front camera."
On the specs front, according to the SamMobile post, "The Galaxy S5 Mini will feature a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen, fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and connectivity options like LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, IR Blaster, NFC, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS and MicroUSB port."
Samsung unveiled its 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, at the World Mobile Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain in February this year. The Samsung Galaxy S5 showed a record 11 million sales in the first month of its launch, beating the Galaxy S4's first month sales by nearly a million handsets. Samsung is also planning to launch new variants of the Galaxy S5 in the coming months including the Galaxy S5 Prime and a Galaxy S5 Active.
