On Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra users are expressing concerns about the washed-out display on their smartphones. When switching the display color profile to ‘Vivid,’ the colors appear less vibrant. Generally, when you switch to ‘Vivid,’ the display gets more vibrant and colourful. Unfortunately, this is not happening in the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which indeed could be a very disappointing moment, especially considering the premium nature of the device.

A Reddit user, named Doo-SteamYour-HoChoi, has conducted a comparison of the display color profile between the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The results are quite noticeable, with the Galaxy S21 Ultra exhibiting a change in colors when switched to ‘Vivid,’ whereas the Galaxy S24 Ultra did not.

It’s surprising that brands like Samsung are facing display issues, especially with their latest and most premium smartphone. This problem could potentially impact Samsung where it hurts the most. Buyers of the Galaxy S24 Ultra still have some days of return window, and if Samsung doesn’t release an update to address this, users might return their latest flagship smartphone.
