Samsung Galaxy Note 7 refurbished models listed on WiFi Alliance confirm these devices run Android 7.0 Nougat and might launch sometime in June

Samsung has already confirmed its plans to sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7 handsets in select markets. The South Korean smartphone maker had issued a statement saying refurbished Galaxy Note 7 is subject to market demand and due consultations with regulatory authorities. Now, the device has appeared on WiFi Alliance listing confirming the existence of the device.

The WiFi Alliance has listed seven new Samsung devices with the model number similar to that of refurbished Note 7s. The seven devices issued by Samsung bear model numbers SM-N930FD, SM-N930X, SM-N930S, SM-N930L, SM-N930K, SM-N930F and SM-N935S. All the different versions listed on WiFi Alliance's website feature 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi 802.11ac along with WiFi Direct support. The listing also confirms these devices run Android 7.0 Nougat.

To recall, the Galaxy Note 7 was introduced in August and Samsung was forced to recall the device after some devices caught fire. Samsung then released a replacement model with batteries from a different supplier. When the replacement model caught fire, the Korean company announced worldwide injunction on its sales. Back in January, Samsung confirmed faulty battery design and manufacturing as the cause for Galaxy Note 7 battery issues.

According to Mysamsungphones.com, the models SM-N930L, SM-N930K and SM-N930S will be sold in South Korea, while SM-N930FD will be sold in India. The models SM-N930F and SM-N930X are said to be global variants likely to launch in June. This new report contradicts previous rumour that refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will not be sold in India. Samsung is yet to confirm these devices, but the listing does indicate that resurrection of Galaxy Note 7 is on the cards.
