Samsung Galaxy M-Series phones may start from Rs 9,500: Report

According to a report, Samsung may launch the Galaxy M10 for around Rs 9,500 and the Galaxy M20 for nearly Rs 15,000 this month.

Samsung is reportedly merging its Galaxy J, On and C series into Galaxy M series and is expected to launch a series of handsets under it. A new report has claimed that the South Korean company may launch the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20 this month for a starting price of approximately Rs 9,500 and Rs 15,000 respectively. Both smartphones are expected to sport Infinity-V type displays, the report said.

According to a report in The Economic Times (via IANS), the third smartphone of the series, called the Galaxy M30, is expected to sport a rear triple-camera system and will probably arrive next month. These millennial-focused smartphones are said to be manufactured at Samsung's factory in Noida, India. Samsung is expected to hold a global press launch for the 'M' series in India and may introduce these devices to other markets later.

All the abovementioned phones have already been leaked on different platforms. Recently, the Galaxy M30 bearing model number SM-M305F was spotted on Geekbench with Exynos 7885 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM. Previously, a smartphone with the same model number was reported to have 64GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphones could come with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

A report also hinted that a smartphone called Galaxy M20 with model number M-M205F is under development and could be released under the new series. The SM-M205F could be launched in 32GB and 64GB storage variants and sport a waterdrop notch. According to another report, both the Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M30 could come equipped with a 5000mAh battery and contrary to other report, both of them could sport an Infinity U type display.

The Galaxy M10 has also been seen listed on Geekbench. The Galaxy M10 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 7870 chip clocked at 1.59GHz and is said to feature 3GB RAM alongside 16GB and 32GB storage options. The Galaxy M20 is said to be powered by Exynos 7885 SoC, coupled with 3GB RAM. As for the Galaxy M30, the handset may feature a 6.38-inch Full HD display with a Full HD resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels.
