Samsung Galaxy A7 with triple rear cameras to launch in India today, company teases smartphone on Flipkart
The Samsung Galaxy A7 is the company’s first smartphone with a triple camera setup on the back and was launched in South Korea on September 20.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy A7 smartphone at 12PM at an event in Delhi today. The smartphone is the company’s first device with three cameras on the back and has already launched in the company’s home turf on September 20. According to DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT and Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, the Galaxy A7 will deliver meaningful and innovative features to the A series with the Galaxy A7. Flipkart has made a special webpage teasing the launch of the Galaxy A7 smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy A7 specifications
The Galaxy A7 has three cameras on the back with an 8MP 120 degree Ultra Wide Lens, a 24MP lens that is claimed to automatically let more light in by combining four pixels into one pixel in low light conditions, and a “Depth Lens” for Live Focus feature that will let users control the depth of field by allowing them to adjust the bokeh effect. The camera setup also features Samsung’s intelligent Scene Optimizer that categorises the subject and adjusts the colour, contrast and brightness to optimise image quality.
On the front is a 24MP camera with adjustable LED flash and features like Selfie Focus for bokeh selfies, Pro Lighting Mode, AR emoji and flattering filters. The smartphone sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display and supports Dolby Atmos sound technology (on headphones only). The phone runs on an unnamed SoC, which is clocked at 2.2GHz and is coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A7 comes with a glass design, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset has company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI)I-powered virtual assistant Bixby (no voice support), Samsung Pay payment system and Samsung Health.
