The Galaxy A5 (2017), on the other hand, features a smaller 5.2-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. Both the handsets are powered by the Exynos 7880 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

The Galaxy A7 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) sport 16MP front and rear cameras. The sensors used here offer f/1.9 aperture and support for full HD video recording. The Galaxy A7 (2017) houses a 3600mAh battery, while the Galaxy A5 (2017) gets a smaller 3000mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is the entry-level smartphone, with a 4.7-inch 720p Super AMOLED display. Powering the device is an Exynos 7870 SoC and 2GB RAM, along with 16GB expandable storage. The handset features a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The front camera is an 8MP unit with f/1.9 aperture and support for beautification mode.

All three smartphones use USB Type-C ports and the Galaxy A3 (2017) comes with a 2350mAh battery. The smartphones were announced in Black, Gold, Blue and Pink colour variants and they run on Android 6.0 Nougat. The pricing of the handsets is not clear, but Samsung is likely to compete with the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus with its Galaxy A (2017) series.
