Reliance launches Facebook Messenger plan for Rs. 16/month

Reliance's Facebook Messenger Plan is available for GSM customers for a monthly rental of Rs. 16.

Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched a Facebook Messenger Plan for all its prepaid GSM customers across the country. The plan allows users to enjoy unlimited usage of Facebook Messenger at a monthly rental of Rs. 16, without paying any extra data consumption charges. The plan gets auto-renewed every 30 days unless unsubscribed.

The Facebook Messenger app works with all smartphone and feature phones. Facebook recently launched a new Messenger version, which allowed users to sign up via phone number and chat with others in their contacts list. For more, read Facebook Messenger: First Impressions.

Users can download the app at fb.me/msgr. The plans with Reliance will allow its GSM customers to use this new app at no extra cost. Reliance GSM subscribers can subscribe to the ‘Facebook Messenger Plan, by sending a SMS “FB” to 53739 from their mobile phones
