Redmi India announces Mi Explorers programme for Redmi K20 Pro.

The registrations are now open and those interested can register till June 22 11.59pm.

As expected, Redmi India has started registrations for the Redmi K20 Pro explorers programme in India. Users can start registering for the ‘Mi Explorers 2019’ programme now, and can do it till June 22 11.59pm. The company will then shortlist 48 applicants as Mi Explorers. They will then be given an opportunity to explore Xiaomi’s upcoming device. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to complete all the assigned missions in order to be a winner.

During the selection process, the applicant's Mi Community profile, as well as social media handles, will be thoroughly evaluated in order to find out their level of engagement, competency, and ability to generate quality submissions in the context of ‘Mi Explorers 2019’. Those who are selected will be notified through email tentatively by June 25. Xiaomi started the Mi Explorers program in 2016 and 2017 for the Redmi Note 3 and the Redmi Note 4.

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro have already been launched in China and the company unveiled the same in Europe last week as the Mi 9T. The Redmi K20 Series of phones will debut in India next month. According to the latest development, the phones could be launched on July 17 in the country. The phones will compete with the likes of OnePlus 7 Series of devices. Redmi India has been teasing the Redmi K20 Pro as the fastest phone in the market with the highest AnTuTu score of 388,803. In our performance test, OnePlus 7 Pro scored 368,084 on AnTuTu benchmarking test.

Redmi K20 Pro and K20 specifications:

The Redmi K20 Pro features a Full HD+ 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display that offers 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Protected by Gorilla Glass 6, the display stretches edge-to-edge offering 91.6 percent screen-to-body-ratio, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset clocked at 2.84Ghz. The primary shooter of the triple camera setup is the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an aperture of f/1.75. There is a 13MP secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens and an 8MP sensor with a telephoto lens. The selfie camera has a 20MP sensor. The Redmi K20 is a watered-down version of the K20 Pro, and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor. The handset sports the same 6.39-inch AMOLED display and draws its power from a 4000mAh battery that comes with an18W fast charger. The camera setup is also the same as the Pro variant. However, the 48MP sensor is IMX582.
