Realme 2 specifications

Realme 2 features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a notch and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The company has touted many AI-based features on the device like built-in AI Gaming Acceleration, which is said to boost performance during gaming sessions. This sounds somewhat similar to OnePlus’ Gaming Mode that prioritises resource allocation for games.

The dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a 4,230mAh battery with AI Power Master technology. Again flaunting AI, the company says that the feature can smartly allocate resources for apps running in the foreground and in the background to conserve more power. Realme claims that the AI can reduce overall power consumption by 5-11 percent without compromising the operations.

The Realme 2 features a a dual-camera and a fingerprint sensor on the rear and also supports the Face Unlock feature. On the rear is a 13MP main camera, paired with a 2MP secondary lens with PDAF technology. On the front is an ‘AI-powered’ 8MP lens that is said to intelligently recognise 296 face points and accordingly gives customised beauty effects, even when clicking a group selfie.

The phone runs on the ColorOS 5.1 UI, atop Android 8.1 Oreo. In addition to the AI Power Master, AI Gaming Acceleration and AI Shot (AI powered camera features), the Realme 2 also has AI Board and a Smart Drive mode. If a user switches the Smart Drive Mode on, the phone will automatically detect that you are driving and will stop app notifications so that one does not get distracted.
