Researcher develops World's fastest external phone charger.
Researchers have developed an external phone charger called the Petalite Flux battery. The device can charge your smartphone from empty to full in just 15 minutes. The device will be launched on the Indiegogo crowd funding website at the end of August.
The Petalite Flux battery, was developed by Leigh Purnell, a graduate from Aston University. The device is very small and can easily fit in a pocket or a bag and eradicates the need to plug your phone into a wall electricity socket or computer USB slot.
Purnell established Petalite Battery Systems in 2014 to create the world’s fastest charging external battery. According to a recent study 92% of British people feel stressed if their smartphones battery runs out. Users can pre-order the device at www.petalite.co.uk.
Technology and Enterprise Management graduate, Leigh, said: "I founded Petalite Battery Systems to permanently remove the stress and worry of having a mobile phone on low battery when you are out and about. It is an increasingly large problem in modern life, especially if you are relying on your phone to direct you somewhere or are waiting for important information to be sent to you."
Recently, UNU Electronics had developed a new Ultrapak Portable Battery Pack Series that can charge-up sufficiently in 15 minutes to be able to recharge most smartphones completely.
The battery pack is available in Ultrapak Go and the Ultrapak Tour variants for $59.99 and $99.99 respectively. The Ultrapak Go has a 3000mAh battery capacity that can fully charge in 30 minutes, while the Ultrapak Tour has a 10000mAh large battery capacity that takes 100 minutes to charge fully.
