The Panasonic Eluga U is a mid-range smartphone with features such as 5-inch 720p display, 13MP camera and 2500 mAh battery.
Panasonic's recently announced Eluga U smartphone is now up for grabs via e-commerce websites. The smartphone is available on Flipkart for Rs. 17,175, while Snapdeal has listed the phone at Rs. 17,226.
The Eluga U is a dual-SIM smartphone, featuring 5-inch 720p display, Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone sports 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. It comes with 16GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
In terms of connectivity, the Eluga U supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS. The smartphone is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.

While Panasonic is targeting the mid-range segment with Eluga A, the company has recently introduced Eluga A smartphone priced under Rs. 10,000. The Eluga A features quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM and 5-inch IPS display.
Panasonic recently launched P81, a 5.5-inch octa-core smartphone. Priced at Rs. 18,990, the P81 features 5.5-inch IPS display with 720p resolution, 13MP camera with auto focus and LED flash and a 2MP front camera, 8GB of ROM and 2,500 mAh battery.
