Oppo partners with Reliance Jio to offer up to 100GB additional data to users

Chinese handset maker OPPO on Monday partnered with telecom operator Reliance Jio to provide special data benefits to new buyers. According to the new offer, customers who purchase a new OPPO handset and recharge with a denomination of Rs 399 or above will get additional 4G data up to 100GB.

"For OPPO, customer satisfaction and delivering the best experience has always been a key focus area. Through this association, we will be able to reach out to more consumers," said Will Yang, Brand Director, OPPO India, in a statement. The offer is applicable on the entire line-up of OPPO 4G smartphones.

Last month, the company launched the Oppo F5 smartphone last month that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to enhance selfies. The handset sports a 6-inch Full HD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. At the front of the phone is a 20MP camera with a f/2.0 aperture lens. Oppo claims that the phone uses AI to highlight and enchance facial features such as eyes, cheekbones and so forth. It is also capable of shooting selfies in Portrait Mode in which the backgrund is blurred. Prices for the device start at Rs 19,990. Besides the F5, Oppo also launched a new version of its F3 Plus smartphone that offers 6GB of RAM as opposed to 4GB RAM offered by the standard variant. The rest of the specifiations of the phone are the same as the standard variant including the dual-front facing camera setup. This new variant will be exclusively available via Flipkart at Rs 22,990.
