Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has launched a new  budget device in China. Called the Oppo A5, the smartphone is priced at CNY 1500, which is roughly Rs 15,300. Like most other smartphones being launched these days, the Oppo A5 features a notch on top of the display. 

The smartphone features a 6.2-inch LCD display with a 1520 x 720 pixel display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. The phone offers 4GB RAM with 64GB of inbuilt storage. At the back is a dual-rear camera setup with 13MP + 2MP camera setup, while at the front is a single 8MP unit. The phone also packs a large 4230mAh battery. It is not yet known if or when the phone will be available in India.

The Oppo A5 seems to be a direct competitor to the Nokia X6, which is also priced around the same in China. The phone sports a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display with a notch on top of the display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM. The phone packs a 3060mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. At the back of the phone is a dual rear camera setup with 16MP + 5MP cameras, while at the front is a single 16MP sensor. Like most recent smartphones launched by Nokia, the X6 comes with the company’s Bothie feature in which the device is able to take a picture using the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
