Oneplus 2 users have started receiving the OxygenOS 3.6.0 update which brings with it the June Android Security patch, the latest from Google. The update brings in fixes for common problems that users were facing, along with some performance tweaks.
OxygenOS 3.6.0 fixes the VoLTE issue faced by some users in India, which prevented automatic registration to 4G networks. The Turkey time zone error (GMT+3) has also been fixed. OnePlus has started rolling out the update to users in a phased manner. Some users might have received the update, while others will still have to wait for it. Head over to Settings > About Phone > System Update on your OnePlus 2 to check for the update manually.
Oneplus has confirmed that the Oneplus 2 will not be getting the Android Nougat update, contrary to an earlier statement by one of its moderators. OnePlus 2 users are now stuck with Android Marshmallow.
On a brighter note, Oneplus is still providing Android security patches and performance updates to old Oneplus users, if not Android OS updates.
