The OnePlus 13s has officially launched in India, positioned between the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13R. Priced at Rs 54,999, the device appears promising on paper, boasting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, an impressive display, AI features and capable cameras. But will it live up to its expectations? We are yet to see how it performs in real-world testing.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 13 has been on the market for several months now and has been well-received. The phone has also performed great in our testing. So, which one should you go for, the OnePlus 13 or the OnePlus 13s? Here we have compared price, chipset, battery, display and other aspects to help you make an informed decision.

OnePlus 13s vs OnePlus 13: Display

One of the major highlights of the newly launched OnePlus 13s is its compact size. The phone features a 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED panel, which is smaller in size compared to the OnePlus 13’s 6.82-inch AMOLED display. Additionally, OnePlus 13s offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and 460 ppi. Similarly, the OnePlus 13 also offers a 120Hz refresh rate. However, its peak brightness hits up to 4,500 nits.

In terms of processor, both the OnePlus 13 and the OnePlus 13s are powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. However, the former packs up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, whereas the latter ships with 12GB of LPDDR5X and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Both phones get a 4,400mm² 3D Cryo-Velocity Vapour Chamber and a graphite layer for better thermal management and run on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.

Camera is where the OnePlus 13 can outshine the OnePlus 13s with an additional 50MP ultrawide camera. The latter features a dual rear camera comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-700 with OIS and a 50MP (2X optical zoom) telephoto lens. On the other hand, OnePlus 13 packs a 50 MP Sony LYT 808 primary shooter, a 50 MP Sony LYT 600 telephoto camera sensor with 3x optical zoom, along with 120x digital zoom and a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor.

In terms of selfie cameras, both smartphones feature a 32MP sensor with an ƒ/2.0 aperture and a 90° field of view (FoV).

Despite its compact size, the phone features a massive 5,850 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the OnePlus 13’s 6,000mAh battery. Additionally, the OnePlus 13s supports 80W charging capability, while the OnePlus 13 supports 100W charging.

The OnePlus 13s is an excellent option, albeit with a few hits and misses. At a starting price of Rs 50,999 for the base 12GB and 256GB variants, it’s a worthy consideration. While the OnePlus 13 is a larger and improved option, it also comes with a substantial price tag of Rs 64,999 for the base model, which features 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
